Sunday afternoon sketch 6/2/2006

I couldn't really sketch in church today, so I hurry and belted one out while at home. It was tough because I spent the day getting ready for a trip to Maine. In fact, I won't be posting until Thursday. But I'll be sketching a lot. Hopefully there will be some good stuff to post when I return. Here's another study I made of the same hair dryer.

Great sketch but I really can't wait to see the ones from Maine--such a gorgeous place.

i was just wondering, how long does it take you to do a sketch like these? I mean, i guess it varies, but they look really quick and fresh if you know what i mean?

Simon,
First things first, thanks for stopping by and commenting on the sketches. Normally, it takes 30 to 40 minutes to finish a sketch. I find that if I spend too much time on it, it begins to look overdone. I try to keep the feeling that the sketch was done quickly, but accurately.
