Rome Georgia, Broad Street October 21, 2006

rome broad street

I went downtown and decided to do some sketches of Broadstreet in Rome, Ga. It was pretty organic in nature, but I enjoyed working with the colors. The sketch seemed rushed and "half-baked", but the colors were what made the experience worthwhile.

I agree with your assessment of the colors! This was the first thing I noticed upon opening your page. Absolutely beautiful! They bring such life to the streetscape!

What a lovely rendering. I spent a night in Rome, GA years ago. I had a crush on a young man attneding a private boys' school.
I agree with the others -- your colors are magnificent and really make the rendering stand out.

That's Half Baked? If that's the case... then what I do is still mooing.

I really like this also. I agree with Murph, I could only wish I could draw as "half baked" as you.

I also like your jack o'lantern. I think you are too hard on yourself. Your drawings are always fun and interesting to see, except your qtip guy, he does freak me out some.

Keep up your drawing.
