Inappropriate Thanksgiving Pondering

I was driving home from the Atlanta airport today after dropping off my mother while pondering the sheer volume of turkey that must have been consumed the day previous. My morbid thoughts kicked in and I began wondering how many turkeys must have been killed, and finally...where the heck do all those heads go?
When I got home, I put my thoughts to sketchpad.....and came p with this yuckiness (as says my wife.)

Comment Beggar

The other night after I posted the picture of my chunky pilgrim, I noticed that I kept checking my email to see if anybody would comment. My wife kept asking why I was always on the computer, and I realized that I am a "comment beggar." So, today on my day off (took if off for my birthday) I did a sketch of what I have realized about myself. Enjoy.

This one came right from my subconcious. I was pondering the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, and thinking about the revelations that my doctor recently gave me and out came this chunky little pilgrim from my pen. He doesn't look too happy, and, based on my new "eating regime," I'm not looking forward to Thanksgiving...

Another Sketch (November 12, 2006)

Here is the fruit of my sketchbook today. For some reason, I really enjoyed this one. The moustache is the part that I like the most. This fellow seems sad, but resilient. Mysterious, but aware. I like the partial hiding behind the moustache and eyepatch. This would be someone I could sit down with and know that what he had to tell me would be important and meaningful.
