Hummingbirds in my Backyard

Recently, my family moved.  Once we got the backyard put in, I put up my trusty hummingbird feeder and I love to just sit on the couch and watch the birds come and get their fill.  We planted orange trees as well, and it's fun to see the birds dart from tree to tree, then to the feeder.  Those birds are amazing...I guess it's the only species in this world who can suck down straight sugar water, non-stop, without having Bloomberg trying to legislate how much they can drink.  Too bad they don't carry around spare change, Coke and Pepsi could have a new revenue stream..... I did this little sketch, trying to capture the flurry of the little buggers.

Over the weekend, I got the Easter bug and had a few hours to kill.  I decided to go back to the trusty tin can as a canvas and knocked out this Christ.  It's a nice addition to the tin can gallery that I've been assembling over the past little while.
